Agia Marina to Agios Kirykos Route Map

Map of the Dodecanese showing the ferry route north-west from Agia Marina to Agios Kirykos.

This crossing links Agia Marina on Leros with Agios Kirykos on Ikaria, taking around an hour and three quarters on Dodekanisos Seaways' catamaran Dodekanisos Pride. It is one of the useful links between the Dodecanese and the North Aegean, which are otherwise awkward to join up. The route usually runs as part of a longer northbound circuit taking in Lipsi, Agathonissi and Fourni.

Agios Kirykos is Ikaria's capital and main port, a plain working harbour town rather than a resort. Thermal spa facilities near the waterfront draw on the island's hot springs, and Ikaria's Blue Zone reputation for longevity is tied to the same unhurried way of life. Evdilos, on the north coast, is the island's second port and handles some routes instead.

The service runs a couple of times a week in season rather than daily, so it needs building into a plan. The current timetable and fares are shown below. From Agios Kirykos there are onward links to Samos, Fourni and Piraeus, and buses across the island to Evdilos and Armenistis.
