Almyropotamos sits on the southern coast of Evia facing the Petalioi Gulf, and the crossing from Agia Marina in east Attica takes around 45 minutes. The Styra and Agia Marina consortium run the service, which is a straightforward vehicle ferry rather than anything geared to tourism. It is a short, sheltered hop across the strait.

The Evia end is rural and quiet, a small fishing-village setting with no landmark at the port and little in the way of visitor facilities. What it does provide is a road link into the southern part of the island, away from the busier resort strips. Anyone arriving on foot should plan onward transport in advance, since this is not a place with taxis waiting.

The route runs a handful of times a week rather than daily, and it is much more active in summer. Current departures and fares are listed in the table below. If the timings do not work, the Agia Marina to Nea Styra crossing is far more frequent and lands you only a short drive up the coast.
