The last known sailing on this route was on 24 August 2026.
No timetable beyond that date has been published yet. Greek operators often release the next season’s schedules only a few months ahead, so this can be a seasonal pause rather than the end of the route. Check whether it is currently available to book through Ferryscanner.
This is an unusual sailing, Agia Marina on Leros out to Farmakonissi aboard SAOS Ferries' conventional ship Saonisos, taking around three and a half hours. The long duration reflects the calls the ship makes on the way rather than any great distance. Farmakonissi lies northeast of Leros, close to the Turkish coast.
Farmakonissi is a very small and barely inhabited island with no tourist infrastructure at the landing and nothing that could be called a village. It is not a leisure destination, and the handful of scheduled calls exist to serve the few people who live and work there. Anyone travelling should assume no shops, no rooms and no facilities of any kind.
The service is very occasional, with only a single scheduled sailing in a typical fortnight, so it should not be treated as a workable island-hopping link. The current timetable and fares are shown below. In practice most travellers head instead for Lipsi, Arki or Agathonissi, which are far better served.
