The last known sailing on this route was on 22 July 2027.
No timetable beyond that date has been published yet. Greek operators often release the next season’s schedules only a few months ahead, so this can be a seasonal pause rather than the end of the route. Check whether it is currently available to book through Ferryscanner.
Agia Marina on Leros to Nisyros takes a little under two hours on Dodekanisos Seaways' catamaran Dodekanisos Express. It is a southbound leg of the company's Dodecanese circuit, usually calling at Kalymnos and Kos before turning for Nisyros. The Express is a fast craft, so seating is indoors and the ride is quick.
Nisyros is a volcanic island, and the still-active caldera at its centre is what most visitors come to see. Ferries dock at Mandraki, the main village, a compact whitewashed place strung along the waterfront beneath a monastery set into the cliff. Buses and excursions run up to the crater from the port in season.
The service runs about once a week, so it is not a route to leave to chance. Current sailings and fares are listed in the table below. Nisyros has far more frequent links with Kos, so travellers often route via Kos rather than waiting for the direct boat.
