Sea Gem Maritime Company runs this short local crossing with the Megalochari, taking under an hour from Ikaria to Chryssomilia on Fourni. It is a small vessel working the island cluster rather than a large ferry, and the passage can feel lively in a blow. There are no facilities to speak of on board, so bring what you need.

Chryssomilia is a small fishing settlement with its own harbour on the north of Fourni, separate from the island's main town. It is very remote and undeveloped, and the appeal is the setting and the pace rather than any particular sight. Arrange a room and check how you will get back before you go, because options on the ground are limited.
