The last known sailing on this route was on 27 August 2026.
No timetable beyond that date has been published yet. Greek operators often release the next season’s schedules only a few months ahead, so this can be a seasonal pause rather than the end of the route. Check whether it is currently available to book through Ferryscanner.
Historically, this route ran about 0.3 sailings a day in August 2026.
This is a short local hop along Ikaria's own coastline, from the island capital of Agios Kirykos round to the fishing village of Manganitis on the south coast. Hellenic Coast Lines run it with the Pegasos, and the trip takes around fifty-five minutes. It is a small boat and a working local service rather than a tourist crossing, which is much of its appeal.
Manganitis is a modest harbour with tavernas looking out over the water and very little else in the way of formal sights. People come for swimming, a quiet meal and the pace of a village that has not been reshaped for visitors. The road route from Agios Kirykos exists but is slow, which is why the boat still matters here.
The service runs around three times a week, and it is very weather-dependent given the size of the vessel. Current departures and fares are listed in the table below. The same boat continues along the coast towards Karkinagri, so it doubles as a way of seeing Ikaria's rugged southern shore from the water.
