Agios Kirykos on Ikaria to Megisti, better known as Kastellorizo, is about as long a single ferry ride as Greek waters offer. Blue Star Ferries operate it with the Blue Star Patmos, and the journey runs to roughly sixteen hours, calling at a string of Dodecanese ports along the way. Cabins are worth considering on a crossing of this length; fares start around €27 for a deck ticket.

Kastellorizo sits off the Turkish coast near Kas and is Greece's easternmost inhabited island. The port town wraps around a small bay, lined with pastel neoclassical houses, and the whole place is small enough to cross on foot in minutes. Seafood tavernas along the harbourfront and boat trips to the Blue Cave are what most visitors come for.

The route runs roughly once a week, tied to the long Blue Star line that reaches Kastellorizo, so it needs planning well ahead. Current departures and fares appear in the table below. Many travellers break the trip at Rhodes instead and pick up the shorter onward leg from there.
