This is a genuinely small-scale local crossing, run by Sea Gem Maritime Company with the Megalochari, from Ikaria across to Thymena in the Fourni archipelago. It takes between forty minutes and an hour and a half depending on the routeing and whether the boat calls elsewhere in the group first. The vessel is small, so a rough day makes itself felt.

Thymena is one of the quietest ferry stops in the Aegean, a single small village on a small island between Ikaria and Samos.
