Agios Stefanos (Avliotes) to Mathraki Ferry

Useful Resources for Your Greek Island Trip

The last known sailing on this route was on 12 September 2026.

No timetable beyond that date has been published yet. Greek operators often release the next season’s schedules only a few months ahead, so this can be a seasonal pause rather than the end of the route. Check whether it is currently available to book through Ferryscanner.

Historically, this route ran about 0.5 sailings a day in August 2026, about 0.4 sailings a day in September 2026.

Agios Stefanos to Mathraki takes about 40 minutes on the Bamos, the shortest crossing from Corfu to the smallest of the Diapontia islands. The boat leaves from the island's northwest corner, which keeps the sea time down. Sailings depend on conditions, since the water here is exposed.

Mathraki is tiny, with a handful of residents and almost nothing in the way of development. The port is a small jetty and the island's main feature is a long sandy beach on the west side backed by dunes. There are only a few rooms and tavernas, so nothing should be left to chance.

The route runs a couple of times a week and mostly in season; the timetable and current fares appear below. The same boat also calls at Erikoussa and Othoni, so combining islands in one trip is feasible.
