Corfu is the first Greek call on most Bari sailings, reached in something between eight and a half and eleven hours depending on the ship. The Anek-Superfast joint venture and Ventouris Ferries both cover it, the latter with the Rigel V and Rigel VII, and departures are usually timed so you cross overnight and arrive in the morning. Cabins, seats and deck space are all available, and the vehicle decks take everything from cars to lorries.
The port at Corfu Town handles the Italian and Albanian services alongside domestic boats to Igoumenitsa and the other Ionian islands. Corfu Town's UNESCO-listed old quarter is a short distance south of the terminal, dominated by the Old and New Venetian fortresses on the skyline. The island is green and noticeably less arid than the Aegean, with a mix of Venetian, French and British influences in its architecture.
Sailings run close to daily through the summer and less often outside it, with foot-passenger fares starting around €39. The current schedule and prices are listed below. Many of these ships carry on to Igoumenitsa and Patra, so Corfu can equally be an intermediate stop rather than the end of the journey.
