Farmakonissi to Agathonissi is a short leg of the Saonisos circuit run by SAOS Ferries, taking around 50 minutes. Both are small islands in the stretch of water between Leros, Patmos and the Turkish mainland. The Saonisos is a conventional ferry working a route that exists mainly to serve island residents.

Agathonissi is small, undeveloped and among the least-visited inhabited islands in Greece. The port and main settlement, Agios Georgios, is a fishing harbour with a few tavernas and rooms and not much beyond that. Visitors come for the quiet coves and the slow rhythm rather than for anything to see.

The sailing appears roughly once a fortnight, so it is a marginal link rather than a practical way to move between the two. Current departures and fares are listed in the table below. Agathonissi is better reached from Patmos or Leros, which have far more regular catamaran connections.
