The last known sailing on this route was on 27 August 2026.
No timetable beyond that date has been published yet. Greek operators often release the next season’s schedules only a few months ahead, so this can be a seasonal pause rather than the end of the route. Check whether it is currently available to book through Ferryscanner.
This is a long haul south from Fourni to Symi, close to ten hours on Blue Star Ferries' Blue Star Patmos. The ship calls at a run of Dodecanese ports on the way down, which breaks the day up. It is a conventional ferry rather than a fast craft, so it handles rough weather better than the catamarans on these waters.
Symi's harbour is the island's headline attraction, with tiers of colourful Italianate mansions climbing the hillside straight up from the water. The ferry berth puts you in the middle of it all, within a walk of the tavernas and the waterfront. The island has a sponge-diving history, and the Panormitis Monastery sits on the south coast, reached by road or excursion boat.
Sailings run roughly once a week. The current timetable and fares are listed in the table below. Symi is easily reached from Rhodes on much more frequent boats if the direct sailing does not fit.
