This is about the shortest scheduled ferry crossing you will find in Greece, five minutes from Fourni's main harbour across to neighbouring Thymena. Sea Gem Maritime Company run it with the Megalochari, a small local boat serving the Fourni archipelago. It is a working island service, used mostly by residents going about their day.

Thymena is a single small village on a quiet island in the Fourni cluster, and it is one of the least-visited ferry stops in the Aegean. A handful of tavernas line the tiny waterfront, and beyond that the appeal is the slow pace and the fishing culture. There is nothing here in the way of formal sights, which is the point.

The boat runs about once a day, weather permitting, which makes a day trip perfectly practical. Current departures and fares are listed in the table below. The same service links onward to Chryssomilia and across to Ikaria and Samos.
