The Ios to Mykonos ferry is a straightforward way to move between two of the Cyclades’ most-visited islands. Both have a well-deserved reputation for party atmospheres and striking whitewashed scenery, but they each offer something distinct — and the crossing itself, with open Aegean stretching in all directions, makes for a fine transition between the two. The route operates from April through to October, so there is no winter service to plan around.

Through the heart of summer you can count on around 3 departures per day, which gives you decent flexibility when putting together your itinerary. Even in the shoulder months the service holds up well, with the same frequency from May through September and a slight taper in October.
