Katapola to Milos is a long high-speed run across the width of the Cyclades, operated by Seajets on the Super Jet 2 and Superjet in around six hours. Despite being a fast boat, the journey is lengthy because of the calls made at islands along the way. Seating is enclosed and airline-style, and the ride can be firm in a swell, so it is worth taking something for motion sickness if you are prone to it.

Milos is a volcanic island in the southwestern Cyclades, and boats come in at Adamas, a working harbour town on a large natural bay with tavernas, hire outfits and buses on the waterfront. The island is known for its geology, from the white moonscape of Sarakiniko to the coloured cliffs at Firiplaka and Tsigrado. The fishing village of Klima, with its painted syrmata boathouses, is one of the more distinctive sights in the islands.
