Katapola to Mykonos is a Seajets high-speed run on the Super Jet 2 or Superjet, taking a little under three hours. The boats call at other islands on the way north, which is why the trip takes longer than the distance suggests. Seating is enclosed, luggage goes in racks by the door, and the crossing can be lively when the meltemi is up.

Arrivals dock at Tourlos, the newer main ferry port a couple of kilometres north of Mykonos Town, built to keep the big ships away from the old harbour in Chora. Buses, taxis and transfers meet the boats, and you will need one to reach town or the south-coast beaches. Mykonos is the most cosmopolitan of the Cyclades, with Little Venice, the windmills and Chora's alleys on one side and the beach clubs on the other.

The route runs roughly once a day through the summer and stops outside the season. The current timetable and fares are shown below, and this is a high-speed fare. Mykonos connects onward to Piraeus, Rafina, Paros, Naxos and Santorini several times daily in season.
