Leros to Fourni takes about four hours on Blue Star Ferries' Diagoras, one leg of the longer northbound run through the eastern Aegean. Fourni is a small call on a big ship, so the stop itself is brief and the docking area modest. The conventional ferry gives you decks, seating and a canteen for the crossing.
Fourni, properly Fourni Korseon, is a small archipelago sitting between Ikaria and Samos, with one of the largest fishing fleets in Greece for its size. The main port town shares the island's name and wraps around a sheltered bay lined with tavernas along the waterfront. Travellers come for quiet beaches, very good fresh seafood and a pace of life that has not been reshaped for tourism.
