Historically, this route ran about 0.2 sailings a day in August 2026.
Leros to Karlovassi on Samos takes around three hours on Blue Star Ferries' Diagoras. It is a northbound leg of the ship's longer eastern Aegean run, crossing open water between the Dodecanese and the North Aegean. As a conventional vehicle ferry it carries cars and motorbikes as well as foot passengers.
Karlovassi is Samos's second town and port, on the north coast west of the capital Vathy. It has a working, slightly industrial feel, softened by a university presence, and is split between Old and New Karlovassi. Most arrivals use it as a gateway to the beaches and villages of the island's western half.
Sailings are infrequent, around once a week, so the timetable is the thing to check first. Current days, times and fares are listed below, with fares starting around €38. Samos's other port at Vathy handles a different set of routes, so it is worth comparing the two before booking.
