Leros to Myrina on Lemnos is one of the longest single ferry legs in the Aegean, running roughly fifteen to nineteen hours on Blue Star Ferries' Diagoras. The ship works its way north through the eastern Aegean, calling at a string of islands along the way, which is what stretches the timing out. It is a conventional vehicle ferry with cabins, and on a crossing of this length a berth is money well spent.

Myrina is the capital and main port of Lemnos, a large and comparatively untouristed island in the North Aegean. A big Byzantine and Genoese castle sits on a rocky headland above the town, dividing two sandy town beaches, and the streets below mix Ottoman and neoclassical buildings. The island is known for its wine and ouzo, its volcanic and agricultural landscapes, and its WWI history around Moudros Bay.
