Lipsi to Farmakonissi Ferry

Useful Resources for Your Greek Island Trip

The last known sailing on this route was on 24 August 2026.

No timetable beyond that date has been published yet. Greek operators often release the next season’s schedules only a few months ahead, so this can be a seasonal pause rather than the end of the route. Check whether it is currently available to book through Ferryscanner.

Lipsi to Farmakonissi is run by SAOS Ferries on the Saonisos and takes a little under three hours, calling at the small ports of the northern Dodecanese along the way. This is a local lifeline service rather than a tourist route, reaching islets that the larger ferries do not serve at all.

Farmakonissi is a very small, sparsely inhabited island close to the Turkish coast near Leros. There is essentially no visitor infrastructure at the port, no accommodation to book on arrival and nothing organised for travellers. Anyone making the trip should have a specific reason and arrangements in place beforehand.

Service is minimal, running roughly once a fortnight and subject to weather and to the operator's seasonal pattern. The current timetable and fares are shown in the table below. If you need to reach the islet with any reliability, Leros is the practical base, since the Saonisos circuit is built around it.
