Mesta to Sigri Ferry

Useful Resources for Your Greek Island Trip

The last known sailing on this route was on 29 August 2026.

No timetable beyond that date has been published yet. Greek operators often release the next season’s schedules only a few months ahead, so this can be a seasonal pause rather than the end of the route. Check whether it is currently available to book through Ferryscanner.

Historically, this route ran about 0.2 sailings a day in August 2026.

Mesta to Sigri is a two and a half hour hop north on the Blue Star Ferries Blue Star Patmos, connecting southern Chios with the far western tip of Lesvos. It is an unusual routing, since most Chios to Lesvos traffic goes via Mytilini on the other side of the island. Fares start around €14.

Sigri is a small fishing harbour at the western end of Lesvos, remote and lightly visited even by the island's standards. The main draw is the Lesvos Petrified Forest, a UNESCO geopark, with its museum and fossil sites close to the village. Facilities at the port are limited compared with Mytilini.

Sailings are roughly weekly, so treat the current timetable and fares shown below as the deciding factor when planning. Mytilini, on the far side of Lesvos, has far more regular ferry connections if the timings do not work. Getting between Sigri and Mytilini overland takes a good couple of hours by road.
