These are the sailings we recorded on this route from October 2025 to September 2026. They show what ran then, not a forecast: timetables change from year to year.

Magic Sea Ferries link Methana with Hydra using the Magic 2 and Magic 3, small fast catamarans that cover the distance in thirty-five minutes to an hour depending on the calls in between. The route runs down the sheltered water between the Peloponnese coast and the Saronic islands, so it is rarely rough. These are compact boats with limited deck space and no vehicles.

Hydra bans motor traffic altogether, so you step off onto a quay worked by donkeys, mules and water taxis. The horseshoe harbour is lined with cannons and stone mansions climbing the slope behind, and it is effectively the island's only settlement of consequence. Galleries, old captains' houses and a long history as an artists' retreat give it a character quite unlike its neighbours.

Sailings run roughly daily in season, thinning out considerably outside it. The current timetable and fares are below, with prices starting in the mid twenties in euro. If nothing fits, Poros is the usual alternative hop, with very frequent onward services to Hydra.
