The Mykonos to Koufonisi ferry is one of the classic Cyclades crossings, taking you from one of Greece’s most famous islands to one of its most quietly rewarding. Koufonisia sits in the Small Cyclades, a scattering of low-lying islands south-east of Naxos that draw travellers looking for something a little more unhurried. The ferry runs from April through to October, so you have a good window to work with across the season.

During the summer peak, you can count on around 2 ferries per day. Shoulder months — May especially — tend to offer closer to 1 departure daily, while April and late October have only the odd sailing, so it’s worth checking schedules carefully if you’re travelling outside of high summer and have connections to make.
