Myrina to Samothraki Route Map

Fast Ferries runs this northern crossing with the Adamantios Korais, taking under three hours from Lemnos to Samothraki. It is one of the more useful links in the far north of the Aegean, and being a conventional ferry it carries vehicles as well as foot passengers. The route usually forms part of a longer run between Lemnos and the Thracian mainland.
Samothraki is wild and mountainous, dominated by Mount Fengari, the highest peak in the Aegean, and it stays lightly touristed. People come for hiking, the river waterfalls and rock pools inland, and the Sanctuary of the Great Gods, where the Winged Victory of Samothrace was found. The island's port is Kamariotissa, on the northwest coast, and hire cars or the local bus are how most people get around.
Departures run about three times a week in season and thin out sharply outside it. The current timetable and fares are shown below. The island's main link is with Alexandroupoli on the mainland, which is the usual route in and out.
