Nisyros to Agia Marina on Leros takes about an hour and three quarters on Dodekanisos Seaways' fast catamaran, Dodekanisos Express. It is a quick northbound run past Kos and Kalymnos, with airline-style seating and limited deck space. Foot passengers only, so leave the car behind on this one.

Agia Marina is one of Leros's two main harbours and the commercial and administrative heart of the island. Italian rationalist buildings from the 1912 to 1943 administration stand near the waterfront, including the clocktower and the covered market. Leros is quieter than Kos or Patmos, with calm beaches and a strong thread of Second World War and Italian-era history running through it.

Sailings are occasional, around once a week, so check the days carefully. Current times and fares are shown in the timetable below. Leros's other port at Lakki handles the larger conventional ferries, so make sure you know which harbour your ticket names.
