These are the sailings we recorded on this route from October 2025 to September 2026. They show what ran then, not a forecast: timetables change from year to year.

Nisyros to Patmos takes about two and a half hours on the fast catamaran and up to five on the conventional ferry, depending on the calls made along the way. Blue Star Ferries and Dodekanisos Seaways cover the route with Blue Star Patmos and Dodekanisos Express. The catamaran is the quicker option, the conventional ship the one that takes vehicles.

Ferries dock at Skala, the port of Patmos, with the fortified Monastery of St John standing on the Chora hill above the town. The island draws pilgrims to the monastery and to the Cave of the Apocalypse, where St John is said to have written the Book of Revelation. UNESCO listing has kept the place notably low-key, with quiet beaches and no high-rise development.

Sailings run a couple of times a week rather than daily. Current departure times and fares are shown in the timetable below. Patmos connects onward to Lipsi, Leros, Samos and Piraeus, so it makes a useful base for the northern Dodecanese.
