Patmos to Farmakonissi is served by SAOS Ferries on the Saonisos, the small boat that links the minor islands of the northern Dodecanese, and takes a little under two hours. This is a local lifeline service rather than a tourist route, calling at islets that the larger ferries pass by entirely.
Farmakonissi is a very small and sparsely inhabited island close to the Turkish coast, near Leros. There is essentially no tourist infrastructure at the port and no visitor facilities to speak of, so anyone travelling here should have a specific reason and arrangements made in advance. It is not a place to arrive at speculatively and look for a room.
Service is minimal, roughly one sailing a fortnight, and subject to weather and to the operator's seasonal pattern. The current timetable and fares, such as they are, appear in the table below. If you need to reach the islet reliably, Leros is the practical base to work from, since the Saonisos route is built around it.
