Patmos to Myrina on Lemnos is one of the longest single tickets in the Greek domestic network, roughly eighteen hours on the Blue Star Ferries vessel Diagoras. The ship runs the length of the eastern Aegean with calls at Samos, Ikaria, Chios and Lesvos on the way. Take a cabin, and treat it as part of the trip rather than a transfer.

Myrina is the capital and main port of Lemnos, an attractive, low key working town with Ottoman and neoclassical buildings and two sandy beaches either side of a rocky headland. The large Byzantine and Genoese castle on that headland is the town's landmark and an easy walk up. Lemnos is quiet, agricultural and known for its wine and ouzo.

Sailings run about once a week and only in season, so it is a route to plan around rather than rely on. The live timetable and fares are shown in the table below, starting around forty seven euros. Lemnos has an airport with flights to Athens and Thessaloniki if you would rather not repeat the crossing.
