Rhodes to Pythagorio Ferry

Useful Resources for Your Greek Island Trip

The last known sailing on this route was on 22 October 2026.

No timetable beyond that date has been published yet. Greek operators often release the next season’s schedules only a few months ahead, so this can be a seasonal pause rather than the end of the route. Check whether it is currently available to book through Ferryscanner.

Rhodes to Pythagorio is a full day at sea, run by Dodekanisos Seaways with the Dodekanisos Pride. The sailing takes around ten hours, working north through the Dodecanese with calls at islands along the chain before reaching the south coast of Samos. Fares start around fifty nine euros.

Pythagorio is a small, pretty harbour town on the south coast of Samos, named after Pythagoras, who was born on the island. It is more relaxed than Vathy, the island's main port, with a yacht and fishing harbour overlooked by Logothetis Castle. The ancient Heraion temple site and the Eupalinos tunnel, a UNESCO-listed ancient aqueduct cut straight through a hill, are both close by.

Sailings here are limited, roughly one a week, and ferry links from Pythagorio in general are thinner than from Vathy. Current departures and fares are shown in the table below. If the timings do not fit, Vathy on the north coast of Samos has considerably more traffic.
