Serifos to Lavrio is run by Magic Sea Ferries with the high-speed Hsc Cat I, taking about two and a half hours to the Attica mainland. It is a useful alternative to the Piraeus run for anyone based east or north of Athens, and the boat heads north across open water rather than threading the usual western Cyclades chain.

Lavrio is a working port town on the southeast coast of Attica, a historic silver-mining place that now serves as a secondary Athens-area ferry gateway. The harbour is compact and easy to walk out of, and it avoids the scale and gate-hunting of Piraeus entirely. The Temple of Poseidon at Sounio stands a short drive south along the coast, which makes a good stop if you have a car.

The route operates roughly daily through the summer season. Current departures, journey times and fares are listed below. Bear in mind that Lavrio is around an hour and a half from central Athens by road or KTEL bus, so allow for the transfer when connecting to a flight.
