The last known sailing on this route was on 30 August 2026.
No timetable beyond that date has been published yet. Greek operators often release the next season’s schedules only a few months ahead, so this can be a seasonal pause rather than the end of the route. Check whether it is currently available to book through Ferryscanner.
Historically, this route ran about 0.2 sailings a day in August 2026.
This is a short western-Aegean link between Sigri on the western tip of Lesvos and Mesta on the south of Chios, about two and a half hours on Blue Star Ferries' Blue Star Patmos. It is one leg of a longer line that threads down the North Aegean, so the ship is a full-size conventional ferry rather than a local boat. The crossing is comfortably short enough to sit out on deck with the Lesvos coast falling away behind you.
Mesta is a fortified medieval village in the mastic-producing south of Chios, built as a stone labyrinth to keep pirate raiders out. Arriving travellers find a quiet, atmospheric place better suited to wandering and eating than to sightseeing in the usual sense. The main body of Chios, including Chios Town and its port, lies roughly 30km away, so onward transport is worth arranging.
Sailings run about once a week in season, so this is a route to build a plan around rather than a casual option. The current timetable and fares are shown below, with fares starting around fourteen euro. From Chios there are much more regular connections onward to Piraeus and to Turkey at Cesme.
