Spetses to Methana takes an hour and a quarter to an hour and twenty on the Magic 3, run by Magic Sea Ferries. It follows the sheltered channel up the Peloponnese coast, calling at Hydra along the way, so it is a scenic rather than a direct run. Foot passengers only on this catamaran.

Methana is a volcanic peninsula attached to the mainland but served as though it were one of the Saronic islands. The town is a quiet spa place built on old crater ground, with thermal and mud baths and walking on the volcanic slopes above. It gets a fraction of the visitors that Hydra and Poros see.

The service runs roughly daily in the season and drops away outside it. Current departures and fares are listed in the table below. Methana is also a regular call on the Piraeus line, so if this sailing does not suit, going via Poros usually will.
