Thessaloniki to Mandoudi is an unusual link down to northern Evia, run by Seajets with the Speedrunner Jet. The crossing takes around six and a quarter hours, calling at Sporades ports on the way south, so it is more of a coastal service than a direct run. Being a fast craft, it is seasonal and weather-dependent.
Mandoudi is a working town in northern Evia rather than a resort, and the port serves the wider stretch of coast rather than the town alone. Most people arriving here are heading on to the beaches and villages along Evia's north coast, or continuing south towards Kymi and the island's interior. It is a practical arrival point rather than a destination in its own right.
The service runs several times a week and only in the summer season. The current timetable and fares are shown below. Evia is joined to the mainland by bridge at Chalkida, so onward travel by road towards Athens is straightforward once ashore.
