Thymena to Chryssomilia is a twenty-minute local hop on the Megalochari, run by Sea Gem Maritime Company within the Fourni archipelago. It is the sort of crossing that exists to serve residents rather than visitors, on a small boat covering a short stretch of sheltered water. Quick, straightforward and entirely unglamorous.

Chryssomilia is a small village and harbour on Fourni, separate from the main town of Fourni Korseon and a good deal quieter still. There is no landmark and no tourist infrastructure to speak of; the appeal is the fishing-village life and the setting. Anyone heading here should have accommodation and food sorted in advance.

The boat runs around three times a week, and the current timetable and fares are shown below. Because the frequency is low, work out your return before you go over. Fourni town is the hub for onward connections to Ikaria and Samos.
