Thymena to Fourni Ferry

Useful Resources for Your Greek Island Trip

The last known sailing on this route was on 10 September 2026.

No timetable beyond that date has been published yet. Greek operators often release the next season’s schedules only a few months ahead, so this can be a seasonal pause rather than the end of the route. Check whether it is currently available to book through Ferryscanner.

Historically, this route ran about 0.9 sailings a day in April 2026, about 0.8 sailings a day in May 2026, about 0.9 sailings a day in June 2026, about 0.8 sailings a day in July 2026, about 1 sailings a day in August 2026, about 0.7 sailings a day in September 2026.

Thymena to Fourni is about as short as ferry crossings get, roughly five minutes on the Megalochari of Sea Gem Maritime Company. It is a local link within the Fourni archipelago rather than a journey in any real sense, and you barely have time to sit down. The boat is small and the trip is entirely within sheltered water between the islands.

Fourni, properly Fourni Korseon, is the main island and town of the cluster, set in a sheltered bay with tavernas along the harbour front. It has one of the larger fishing fleets in Greece for its size, and the seafood is the main reason people linger. Beyond that the appeal is quiet beaches and a genuinely undeveloped pace.

The hop runs most days in season, and the current timetable and fares are shown below. Fourni is the hub of the little archipelago, so this is where you pick up onward connections to Ikaria and Samos. Sailings are weather-dependent, as with all small-boat services out here.
