These are the sailings we recorded on this route from October 2025 to September 2026. They show what ran then, not a forecast: timetables change from year to year.

Tilos to Patmos is served two ways. Dodekanisos Seaways runs the Dodekanisos Express catamaran, which does the job in a little over three hours, while Blue Star Ferries takes the slower conventional route with the Blue Star Patmos at around six and a half hours. The catamaran is quicker and mostly enclosed seating; the Blue Star gives you deck space, a restaurant and a more relaxed run up the island chain.

Ferries dock at Skala, the port town, with the fortified Monastery of St John crowning the Chora hill above it. Patmos is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has stayed unusually low-key for an island of its size, drawing a mix of pilgrims and quieter, upmarket travellers. Most visitors head up to the monastery and the Cave of the Apocalypse, but there are good beaches scattered around the island too.

Between the two operators there are a couple of sailings a week in season, with the catamaran the more reliable of the pair for day-length hops. The current timetable and fares are shown below. From Skala there are onward links to Leros, Lipsi, Samos and Piraeus, so Patmos works well as a pivot point heading north.
