Vassiliki to Fiskardo Route Map
This is the standard Lefkada to Kefallonia crossing, an hour to an hour and ten from Vassiliki down to Fiskardo, run by Ionion P. Lines and West Ferry with vessels including the Captain Aristidis. It is a short open-water leg between two of the Ionian's more attractive harbours. Vassiliki's thermal winds pick up in the afternoon, so morning sailings tend to be the smoother ones.
Fiskardo sits on the northern tip of Kefallonia and is the one village on the island that survived the 1953 earthquake largely intact, which is why its Venetian-era waterfront looks the way it does. Pastel houses line the harbour, the yacht quay is busy through the summer, and there is a small lighthouse promontory a short walk away. It is the most polished place on Kefallonia and priced accordingly.
