Ferry from Sami (Kefalonia) to Pissaetos (Ithaca)

This is the short crossing from Kefallonia to Ithaki, twenty to thirty minutes with Ionion P. Lines or Levante Ferries on the Ionion Pelagos or the Kefalonia. The channel between the two islands is narrow and sheltered, so it is usually a calm run even when the wider Ionian is choppy. Fares start around €3, which makes it one of the cheapest ferry tickets in Greece.

Pissaetos is Ithaki's main ferry port, on the west coast, and it is a functional harbour rather than a place to linger. There is very little at the quay itself. Vathy, the island capital, is a short drive away over the ridge, and Kioni and Frikes are further north.
