Eretria to Oropos Ferry

Useful Resources for Your Greek Island Trip

Turn-up car ferry, about every half hour

Two companies share the Eretria–Oropos crossing between Evia and the Attica mainland, and their hourly departures alternate, so in the daytime there is a car and passenger ferry about every half hour. Tsokos Lines leaves Oropos on the hour and Eretria on the half hour; the other operator fills the gaps. The crossing takes roughly 20 to 25 minutes.

  • Tickets: Pay at the ticket office in the port on the day; the crossing is not sold online. Cash is the safer choice. The operators advise booking ahead only for busy holiday periods such as Easter, Christmas and New Year.
  • Fares: Adult €3; half fare €1.50; motorbike €3; taxi €7; car €10 including the driver (the two operators' own price lists, checked 24 October 2026).
  • Operator: Eretria-Oropos Consortium

Hours are shorter in winter and the timetable changes by month, so check the operators' own pages for the day you travel. In October 2026 Tsokos Lines runs from 07:00 (Oropos) and 06:30 (Eretria) to about 19:00 or 20:00 depending on the day.
