Ferry from Glossa (Skopelos) to Volos

Glossa to Volos takes between about an hour and three quarters and three and a quarter hours, depending on whether you are on one of the fast craft or a conventional ferry calling at Skiathos on the way. Seajets, Aegean Flying Dolphins and Mantoudi Lines all work the route, with vessels including Eagle Jet 2, Erato, Speedrunner Jet 2 and Zefyros. Departures are from Loutraki, the port directly below the hilltop village of Glossa.

Volos is a working port city on the Pagasetic Gulf, with the ferry berth in the city centre and the seafront promenade and its tsipouradika a couple of minutes' walk away. It is the gateway to the Pelion peninsula and the main mainland hub for Sporades traffic, with buses and trains onward to Athens and Thessaloniki. Nobody comes to Volos for the sights, but it is an easy place to connect through.
