Gythio to Kissamos Route Map
Gythio to Kissamos is the crossing from the southern Peloponnese to the northwest corner of Crete, run by Seajets with the Aqua Jewel. Kissamos, also known as Kastelli or Kastelli Kissamou, is a working port town on the northwest coast of Crete in the Chania regional unit. The harbour itself is a modern one a couple of kilometres from the old town centre, so it is functional rather than scenic. Most arrivals are heading either east to Chania or west to Falasarna and the Balos lagoon, both a short drive from the port, with Elafonisi further south.
