Hydra to Ermioni is one of the quickest ways off the island to the mainland, twenty to thirty-five minutes on the Aero 1 or Aero 4 highspeed catamarans with Hellenic Seaways. The water is narrow and sheltered here, so the ride is generally calm. Foot passengers only, but that is standard for Hydra, which has no vehicles anyway.

Ermioni is a relaxed Argolid town on a pine-covered peninsula, favoured by Athenian weekenders and much less touristed than the islands opposite.
