This is the longer of the two routes out of Kamiros Skala on Rhodes, running to Tilos in around an hour and forty minutes. Star Gem Maritime operates it with the Panagia Evagelistria, a conventional boat rather than fast craft, so it is a steady crossing past Chalki and on westwards. The west coast of Rhodes is an unusual departure point, and it saves the longer haul out of Rhodes Town.

Tilos is one of the least developed islands in the Dodecanese, low-key and known for its walking trails and conservation-minded approach. Ferries dock at Livadia, the main village and the island's principal settlement, set on a bay. Beyond that there are quiet beaches, good birdwatching, and the Charkadio cave with its fossilised dwarf elephant remains, while the older hilltop settlement of Megalo Chorio sits inland.
