Porto Heli to Hydra Route Map
Porto Heli to Hydra takes about an hour and a half on the Aero 4 highspeed catamaran with Hellenic Seaways. The time reflects the calls at Spetses and Ermioni that come between the two rather than any great distance. It is a foot-passenger service running along the sheltered Argolid coast, and a pleasant way to see the shoreline.
Hydra allows no motor vehicles at all, so you arrive at a quay worked by mules, donkeys and water taxis. The horseshoe harbour with its cannons and stone mansions rising behind is the town, and effectively the whole island as far as most visitors are concerned.
