Tilos to Nisyros Route Map

Tilos to Nisyros is the short local hop of this stretch of the Dodecanese, taking anywhere from about forty minutes to an hour and a half depending on which boat you catch. Star Gem Maritime's Panagia Evagelistria and the SAOS Ferries boats do it as part of local runs, Dodekanisos Seaways brings the Dodekanisos Express and Dodekanisos Pride catamarans through, and Blue Star Ferries' Blue Star Patmos calls on its longer route. It is a genuinely short crossing, with most people staying on deck.

Nisyros is a volcanic island, and the caldera with its steaming craters is what most day visitors come for, usually by bus or hire car up from the port at Mandraki. The harbour village itself is small and low-key, with a whitewashed centre and a castle-topped monastery above the town.

This is the busiest link Tilos has, with sailings most days in season across the various operators, which makes a day trip in either direction workable.
