Vathy to Rhodes is a long run down the Dodecanese with Superfast Ferries on the Lefka Ori, taking between eight and a half and ten hours depending on the calls made. It is often an overnight sailing, which is the sensible way to use the time. As a large conventional ferry it carries cabins, seating lounges and vehicles.

Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese and a destination in its own right. The UNESCO-listed medieval Old Town, built by the Knights of St John, is a short walk from the ferry berths, and Mandraki, the old harbour, is the one linked to the legend of the Colossus. Beyond the town are long beaches, resort strips and quieter inland villages to the south.

The route runs two or three times a week in season. Current sailing days, journey times and fares are shown below. Rhodes has an international airport and onward ferries to the rest of the Dodecanese, to Crete, to Piraeus and to Turkey.
