Serifos to Paros is operated by Hellenic Seaways on the conventional Artemis, taking a little over two hours. The ship crosses east from the western Cyclades into the central group, and on this leg it is a direct run rather than a multi-stop itinerary.

Paros is one of the larger and busier Cyclades islands, and ferries arrive at Parikia on the west coast. The waterfront has the full range of ticket agents, car hire and bus links, and the Panagia Ekatontapiliani, the Church of a Hundred Doors and one of the oldest surviving churches in Greece, is a short walk from the port. Yes, and rental desks cluster right by the port in Parikia, most just a couple of minutes' walk from where the ferry docks. A car earns its keep here: nowhere on Paros is more than about 30 minutes' drive away, opening up marble-quarry villages and quieter southern beaches that the KTEL bus network doesn't reach directly. Do you need a car on Serifos?

Not strictly. Chora sits on a hill about 4.5km above the port at Livadi, and a bus, roughly fifteen minutes for two euros, runs regularly between the two in summer. A car or scooter, hired from the small handful of offices in Livadi, makes sense for reaching the island's scattered beaches, but book ahead: the rental fleet is limited and August sells out fast.
