Ferry from Paros (Parikia) to Katapola (Amorgos)

Paros to Katapola ranges from under two hours on the Seajets high-speed craft to four hours on the conventional Blue Star Naxos. Seajets uses vessels such as the Champions League Jet 1, Super Jet 2 and Superjet, which are quick but enclosed. The Blue Star is slower and calls at more islands, but has proper decks and is the better bet in rough weather.

Katapola is the busier of Amorgos's two ports, a sheltered natural harbour on the west coast with a working village around it. The island capital, Chora, is a short bus ride up the hill, and further along the coast is the Hozoviotissa Monastery built into the cliff face. Ticket agents, tavernas and rooms are all on or just behind the waterfront.
